MUIS HALAL CERTIFIED · TWO SCHEMES
Halal Certified Gelato & Ice Cream Supplier in Singapore
Gelato Wholesale Collective is a MUIS halal-certified gelato and ice cream wholesale supplier in Singapore, certified under both the Food Preparation Premises Scheme and the Product Scheme.
Every batch of gelato, ice cream, sorbet and popsicle we make — standard range, custom flavour, or OEM white-label — is produced in our halal-certified kitchen, using halal-certified ingredients, so your menu or product line serves every guest in Singapore.
OUR HALAL CERTIFICATIONS
We hold two separate MUIS halal certifications — not one — because our business operates across two distinct scopes: making gelato on our premises, and producing finished halal products for commercial supply.
Food Preparation Premises Scheme Covers the halal integrity of our kitchen itself — the physical premises, equipment, procedures, and handling throughout production. This certification means that anything produced in our kitchen, including bespoke custom flavors developed for clients, is produced within a halal-certified environment.
Certificate number: FPCA26080000135 · Valid until: 31 August 2027.
Product Scheme Covers specific finished products as halal-certified items in their own right. These products carry the MUIS halal mark on their packaging and can be sold on halal-certified terms in retail and foodservice.
Certificate number: FMPR26080000136 · Valid until: 31 August 2027.
Both certifications are maintained through MUIS's rigorous ongoing audit process — not a one-time check, but continuous compliance.
WHY DUAL CERTIFICATION MATTERS FOR YOUR BUSINESS
Dual certification isn't our marketing claim — it's a practical business advantage that lets you serve every type of customer, in every format, without a certification gap. Not every halal gelato supplier in Singapore holds both schemes. The difference matters depending on how you plan to use our products:
Cafe, RESTAURANT, HOTEL, events company or CATERER
If you are serving halal-conscious guests, the Food Preparation Premises Scheme is what tells your diners the kitchen that made this gelato is halal-certified — the full chain of integrity from ingredient to tub.
Retailer, FMCG Brand or exporter
If you are selling finished gelato products on shelves, the Product Scheme is what lets your product carry the MUIS halal mark on its packaging. This is the credential a shopper actually looks for before buying.
IF YOU ARE DEVELOPING A CUSTOM / OEM PRODUCT
We can work with you on either scope i.e. standard supply from our halal-certified kitchen, or applying for Product Scheme certification on your own branded line produced by us.
GELATO THAT INCLUDES EVERYONE
Halal certification is sometimes framed as a restriction. We think of it as the opposite — a commitment to making gelato that every person in Singapore can enjoy, regardless of their faith or their dietary rules.
Singapore is a multi-faith, multi-cultural country where almost every F&B business serves a mixed crowd i.e. colleagues at a team lunch, extended families at a wedding, guests at a corporate event, friends at a café. The quietest way to be inclusive isn't a special menu for Muslim guests. It's a dessert nobody has to ask about.
That's what we build. Every tub, every pop, every cone — made halal from day one, so your Muslim guests, your non-Muslim guests, your halal-certified clients and your non-certified clients are all served from the same production line, with the same quality, no asterisks.
For many of our wholesale and OEM clients, this is the single reason they chose GWC: one supplier that serves their whole market.
WHAT HALAL CERTIFICATION MEANS WORKING WITH US
01 / Standard Wholesale Supply
Every item in our standard gelato, ice cream, sorbet and popsicle range is produced in our MUIS halal-certified kitchen and uses halal-certified ingredients throughout. You can serve or resell these under halal terms without any additional certification work on your end.
03 / OEM PRODUCTS FOR RETAIL
If you want your own branded gelato line to carry the MUIS halal mark on its packaging — the credential your shoppers actively look for — we can work with you to enter your product into our Product Scheme certification. Please reach out to us to find out more.
05 / catering partners & institutionS
We supply institutional caterers and corporate catering partners who serve halal-conscious workplaces, schools and hospitals. Our dual certification satisfies the compliance requirements of institutional clients that single-scope certification does not.
A short, practical guide to how our certifications apply to the common ways clients work with us.
02 / Custom flavour development
When we develop a bespoke flavour for your café, restaurant or brand, it's developed and produced in the same halal-certified kitchen using halal-certified ingredients — so the custom product inherits the halal integrity of our premises automatically.
04 / LIVE STATIONS & EVENT CATERING
Our live gelato carts at your weddings, corporate events and parties serve gelato made in our halal-certified kitchen. Your entire guest list is included, no exceptions.
HALAL-CERTIFIED INGREDIENTS, THROUGHOUT
Halal certification is only as strong as the ingredients inside the product. Our commitment goes beyond the kitchen walls:
Dairy — our milk, cream, and dairy ingredients are from halal-certified sources.
Flavorings and extracts — vanilla, chocolate, fruit purees, flavour pastes, extracts and infusions are all sourced from halal-certified suppliers. No alcohol-based extracts in our halal-certified production.
Stabilisers and emulsifiers — the functional ingredients that give gelato its texture are from halal-certified suppliers only.
Inclusions — chocolate chips, nuts, cookie pieces, biscuit bases, swirls and ripples — halal-certified sources throughout.
Packaging materials — in direct contact with product, selected to meet halal requirements for Product Scheme certified items.
We maintain supplier documentation for every ingredient in our halal-certified production.
HALAL CERTIFICATION FAQs
Is all of GWC's gelato halal certified? Every gelato, ice cream, sorbet and popsicle produced by GWC — including custom flavors and OEM products developed for clients — is made in our MUIS halal-certified kitchen using halal-certified ingredients. We do not operate a separate non-halal line. You may find the list of halal-certified flavors under our Product Scheme product list.
Which halal schemes are you certified under? GWC is certified under two separate MUIS halal schemes: the Food Preparation Premises Scheme (covering the halal integrity of our kitchen and production) and the Product Scheme (covering specific finished products as halal-certified items for retail and foodservice).
Can I put my own gelato product under the MUIS halal mark through GWC? Yes. For OEM / white-label clients, we can work with you to enter your own branded gelato line into our Product Scheme certification, so your product carries the MUIS halal mark on its packaging. This process takes time so do reach out to us to find out more.
Can I see your halal certificates? Yes — our MUIS halal certification details are listed above, and we're happy to share scanned certificates and supplier ingredient documentation on request as part of a wholesale enquiry.
Do you use any alcohol in your gelato? No. Our halal-certified production does not use any alcohol-based ingredients.
Is your kitchen separate for halal and non-halal production? Our main production kitchen is fully halal-certified under the Food Preparation Premises Scheme — meaning everything produced there is halal.
How often is your certification audited? MUIS halal certification is maintained through regular ongoing audits — not a one-time check. Our certification is current and in good standing.
Do institutional caterers require dual certification? Many institutional accounts — including school caterers, hospital kitchens, government catering, and large corporate catering partners — require Product Scheme certification specifically for packaged products they serve. Our dual certification satisfies both the premises-based and product-based requirements that institutional clients typically ask for.
